Biennale - 60th International Art Exhibition, Venice - April 20th to November 24th
Taking place in Venice every two years, the Biennale stands as a beacon of global artistic significance. Major contemporary artists from all corners of the globe participate in a constellation of exhibitions held within national and independent pavilions scattered throughout the city. In 2024, marking its 60th edition, the Biennale proudly presents "Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere," exploring the theme of outsiders and marginalized figures.

Giro D’Italia, Italy - May 4th to 26th 
Established in 1909, this annual race puts the world's top cyclists to the test across Italy's most challenging and scenic routes.  Competitors vie for the coveted Maglia Rosa (Pink Jersey), a symbol of their dominance over grueling mountain climbs and thrilling sprints.  More than just a race, the Giro d'Italia is a vibrant celebration of athletic prowess, endurance, and the rich cultural tapestry of Italy. This year, the route snakes its way from north to south, culminating in a grand finale in Rome, expected to draw over 2.4 million enthusiastic spectators.

Book Festival, Turin - May 9th to 13th
Since its inception in 1988, Il Salone del Libro has reigned as Italy's largest book fair, boasting a staggering 215,000 visitors in 2023 across five days. This event constitutes the perfect occasion  for publishers to unveil their latest literary offerings while fostering an annual gathering for the entire book community, including publishers, authors, avid readers, educators, and students. Its steadfast mission: to cultivate a culture of reading that resonates throughout the year.

Nizza è Barbera, Nizza Monferrato - May 10th to May 13th
This annual celebration, named after the city of Nizza Monferrato and its prized Barbera Nizza DOCG wine, transforms the town squares and streets into a sprawling wine lover's paradise. Thousands of visitors flock to Nizza to savor a diverse range of Barbera varieties, all presented directly by the passionate winemakers themselves.  Engage in lively conversation with these local experts, learning firsthand about the unique characteristics and production secrets behind each delicious sip.

Mantua Lotus Flower Bloom - July and August

Formula 1 Grand Prix, Imola - May 16th to May 19th
The Formula 1 Grand Prix at Imola is a thrilling spectacle that captivates racing enthusiasts from around the globe. Held at the historic Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit, notorious for its tight corners, high speeds, and the legendary Tamburello complex, the event attracts a significant number of spectators eager to witness the adrenaline-fueled action firsthand.

Infiorata di Noto Baroque Spring, Noto - May 17th to May 21th 
Witness a floral masterpiece bloom in the heart of Noto! Each spring, Sicily's enchanting town transforms for the Infiorata, hailed as one of the island's most breathtaking spectacles. Over one magical night, skilled artisans meticulously craft a stunning image, stretching 122 meters long and 6 meters wide, across the central Nicolaci road. Using a vibrant tapestry of colorful flowers, they bring their artistic vision to life. This year, in 2024, the Infiorata pays homage to the unforgettable melodies of Giacomo Puccini, promising a truly unforgettable experience.

Lavender Festival, Assisi - weekends from June 15th to July 7th
Nestled within a 3-hectare garden, this annual fragrant spectacle unfolds against the majestic backdrop of Assisi, birthplace of Saint Francis, a renowned nature lover. Stroll through endless rows of lavender, their hues shifting from delicate pink and lilac to vibrant purple and white, as the blooms transform week by week over the festival's four weekends. 

Palio di Siena, Siena - July 2nd and August 16th
Siena's Palio is a whirlwind of history and raw emotion. This fiercely contested horse race, held twice a year, embodies the spirit of the city's Contrade - the 17 medieval districts that pulse with vibrant rivalry.  For centuries, these districts, governed by rules established in 1633, have battled for glory in the heart-pounding race around the Piazza del Campo, the city's iconic shell-shaped square. The Palio is more than just a race; it's a cultural phenomenon that transcends time.

Alba Music Festival, Alba - July 7th to August 4th
This Festival has won the favor of both national and international press. Over the course of 20 years, it has hosted hundreds of artists, orchestras, and chamber groups from more than 20 countries worldwide. Concerts take place in the most prestigious venues of Alba, following a captivating architectural journey: from the mirrored auditoriums of the Teatro Sociale to the majestic castles nestled in the UNESCO World Heritage hills.
