Giving new life: rethinking corporate gifts through sustainability

Every event leaves something behind. Sometimes it is a memory, sometimes a connection — and sometimes, it takes the form of an object.

When chosen with intention, that object becomes part of the broader narrative: a statement of values, a reflection of the role a company chooses to play in the world.

What if this simple gesture could carry deeper meaning — becoming a natural extension of the experience itself? What if a corporate gift or gadget could embody shared values and tell a story that lasts far beyond the event?

Today, sustainability invites us to rethink even the smallest details. And among them, corporate gifting holds a quiet yet powerful potential.

Echoes within materials

There is something evocative in objects that have already lived a previous life. These materials carry memory, and when reimagined through art, they become storytellers.

This is the case of VAIAwhose creations are born from the wood of trees felled by the storm of 2018 in the Dolomites. What could have remained a sign of destruction becomes instead a symbol of regeneration. Among its most iconic pieces is a minimalist wooden amplifier for smartphones, designed to enhance sound naturally.

This is the item we chose as a corporate gift for our latest event, the Italysdays — a choice that resonated immediately for its authenticity, simplicity, and the meaning it conveys.

Traces of a floating city

In Venice, even what is left behind carries value. This is the approach of Pieces of Venice, where discarded briccolethe iconic wooden poles guiding boats through the Venetian lagoon — are transformed into objects that balance function and design.

Alongside wood, the brand also works with recovered fabrics and Murano glass, reinterpreting materials that are deeply rooted in Venetian heritage. Each creation reflects this dialogue between past and present, where craftsmanship and sustainability come together in a refined expression.

Inspired by this vision, we brought to life a custom bookmark for our sales calls to share with our partners — a small, beautifully made object that extends the experience beyond the moment itself.

Design that respects, design that restores

Sustainability can also take shape through local sourcing, low-impact production processes, and collaborations with projects that generate positive environmental or social impact

Brands like Stampalanatura use natural pigments and botanical elements to create handcrafted prints on paper, organic fabrics, cotton, and linen. By reducing the use of chemicals, they celebrate the beauty of organic forms and the uniqueness of each piece.

More than a product, it expresses a different mindset — where even the simplest item becomes an opportunity to rethink purpose.

When the moment fades

In a well-designed corporate event, every element contributes to a coherent experience. When aligned with the values of the event, a sustainable gift or gadget reinforces its message, expressing consistency and care — not only towards guests, but towards the wider world.

Choosing sustainable gifts means making a conscious decision: one that reflects how a company positions itself and the kind of impact it seeks to create.

Because long after the event has ended, what remains are the details that felt authentic — the ones that continue to resonate, in subtle and lasting ways.
