Sustainability

Our commitment

We aim to provide high-quality travel services, reduce the negative impact of tourism, and generate beneficial effects on the environment and society in which we operate.

At the same time, we wish to be perfectly transparent regarding both the risks and opportunities we face, in order to furnish stakeholders with a greater understanding of our performance beyond purely economic results. For this reason, we are committed to publishing our Sustainability Report annually:

We are a Società Benefit in Italy and we are on the path to B Corp certification

We are a Società Benefit in Italy and are currently undergoing the B Corp certification process.

Over the past few years, Italyscape has undergone significant transformation and steady growth, allowing us to expand our workforce and strengthen our results. We recognise that this development has been made possible thanks to the society and environment in which we operate. For us, these aspects are essential and must be respected and preserved.

For this reason, in 2021 we started a transformation journey that led us to become a Benefit Corporation.

Why B-Corp certification?

B-Corp is a voluntary official certification issued by B-Lab, a nonprofit network which aims to transform the global economy for the benefit of all people, communities, and the entire planet.

Becoming a B-Corp business means:

  • Integrating our by-laws to create a positive impact on society and the biosphere
  • Being aware of and monitoring the impact generated by our activities
  • Identifying areas for improvement
  • Sharing best practices, goals, and achievements
  • Inspiring travelers and suppliers to join us on a resilient and regenerative pathway to the future

Becoming a B-Corp business means:

Supporting meaningful projects

On our path of giving back to our environment and community, we are honored to stand alongside initiatives that reflect our values, both as a company and as individuals.

For us, travelling means creating genuine connections with places, people, and their stories. This is why our commitment goes beyond the travel experience itself: we choose to engage with organizations that work every day to protect what makes Italy unique and to care for the communities that bring it to life.

Through these collaborations and targeted contributions, we help safeguard cultural and environmental heritage, preserve local traditions, foster social inclusion, strengthen communities, and advance research.

  • FAI (ITALIAN NATIONAL TRUST)
FAI, the Italian National Trust, works to protect and enhance Italy’s historical, artistic, and scenic heritage. Through our participation in the Corporate Golden Donor program, we help rescue places of cultural and natural value from neglect, restore them, and make them accessible to the public.

  • SLOW FOOD
Slow Food is an international movement that promotes biodiversity, food quality, and respect for producers and local territories. We believe that food culture is an integral part of the travel experience and a key element in preserving local identity. Being close to initiatives such as Slow Food means helping to protect authentic traditions, sustainable supply chains, and the communities that keep them alive. In particular, we are involved in the Slow Food Network of Chestnut Growers, a project dedicated to regenerating mountain areas through the preservation and promotion of traditional chestnut cultivation, its knowledge, techniques, and cultural value.

  • GRUPPO ABELE
Gruppo Abele works alongside people experiencing vulnerability and fragility, promoting inclusion, dignity, and pathways towards autonomy. The project reflects a strong commitment to social justice and community care, creating opportunities for people to rebuild their lives and access meaningful support.

  • SERMIG – Servizio Missionario Giovani
SERMIG is committed to solidarity and social development projects, with the goal of creating opportunities and promoting a culture of sharing, responsibility, and care for others. As part of the renovation of our office spaces, we donated office desks that were still in good condition and had not yet been fully depreciated at the time of donation. This allowed us to extend the useful life of these assets while contributing to the work of an organization that creates social value for the local community.

  • CasaOz
CasaOz is a welcoming place dedicated to families with children experiencing illness or fragility. It offers support, relationships, and a sense of everyday normality during delicate moments in life. Our connection with CasaOz is also reflected in our corporate choices: whenever possible, we choose initiatives such as Christmas gifts for the team that allow us to turn a moment of celebration into an opportunity to give back.

  • IGHA – Italian Global Health Action
Italian Global Health Action is active in reducing social inequalities, improving quality of life through scientific research and health innovation, and promoting global health through awareness campaigns. Its work focuses on creating better health opportunities, with particular attention to vulnerable contexts and communities.

  • JTWIA – Just The Woman I Am
Just The Woman I Am promotes university research on cancer while raising awareness around prevention, healthy lifestyles, inclusion, and gender equality. By standing behind research initiatives such as this, we aim to contribute to the development of knowledge and solutions that can generate a meaningful and lasting impact over time.
