Restaurants and bars

Langosteria Montenapoleone, Milan (Lombardy) | November 2025
Langosteria Montenapoleone finds a new home on the upper floors of Palazzo Fendi, further expanding one of Milan’s most recognisable dining names. Conceived with Dimorestudio, the interiors combine theatrical details, collected objects and warm materials. Seafood remains at the heart of the experience, accompanied by panoramic views over the city's rooftops and a convivial spirit that lingers well beyond dinner.

Viride by Carlo Cracco, Rome (Lazio) | March 2026
At Viride, Carlo Cracco explores a culinary language shaped by seasonality, botanical inspirations and Mediterranean nuances. Overlooking the hidden courtyard of Corinthia Rome, the restaurant pairs elegance with a menu designed to follow the rhythm of nature, where vegetables, herbs and lightness become the starting point for a more precise idea of fine dining.

Luca’s by Paulo Airaudo, Firenze (Tuscany) | November 2025
Inside La Gemma Hotel, Luca's marked its arrival on the Italian culinary scene by securing a Michelin star in the 2026 Guide only months after opening. Chef Paulo Airaudo brings together local ingredients, global influences and a meticulous approach to technique, resulting in a cuisine that feels expressive, contemporary and subtly unexpected.

New accomodation

The Carlton, a Rocco Forte hotel, Milan (Lombardy) | 5-star Hotel | November 2025
71 rooms
Behind its discreet façade in the Quadrilatero della Moda, The Carlton adopts the language of a private Milanese residence. Olga Polizzi entrusted Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen with interiors that favour measured tones, collected objects and domestic proportions. Dining by Fulvio Pierangelini, the Irene Forte Spa and a softly lit bar complete the experience.

The Lake Como EDITION, Como (Lombardy) | 5-star Hotel | March 2026
148 rooms
Lake Como gains a new address that departs from the destination's traditional codes. Here, social spaces, bold design choices and an energetic atmosphere replace the idea of a secluded hideaway. Architecture responds to shifting light and open views, while the overall mood recalls a contemporary lakeside club more than a conventional grand hotel.

Airelles Venezia, Venice (Veneto) | 5-star hotel | May 2026
45 rooms
Airelles chooses Giudecca for its first venture beyond France, occupying a cluster of Renaissance buildings once connected to Palladio's Zitelle complex. Gardens hidden behind historic walls, generous wellness areas and thoughtfully reworked rooms lend the property an unexpectedly domestic quality. Removed from Venice's busiest routes, daily life unfolds according to the movement of water and changing tides.

Orient Express Venezia, Venice (Veneto) | 5-star hotel | March 2026
47 rooms
Rather than reproducing the mythology of the train, Orient Express Venezia translates its spirit into architecture and materiality. Period rooms become settings for lacquered surfaces, crafted details and references to a long tradition of travel. The result feels cinematic without excess, preserving a sense of mystery that belongs naturally to Venice.

Orient Express La Minerva, Rome (Lazio) | 5-star hotel | April 2026
93 rooms
Few addresses stand closer to Rome's layered history than La Minerva. Reinterpreted under the Orient Express name, the building unfolds through generous salons, decorative elements and views stretching towards the Pantheon. While retaining its monumental scale, the project introduces a more cosmopolitan sensibility to one of the city's long-established landmarks.

Corinthia Rome, Rome (Lazio) | 5-star hotel | March 2026
60 rooms
Once occupied by government offices, this neoclassical palace opposite Piazza del Parlamento now reveals a markedly different character. Natural light filters through a secluded courtyard, while wellness facilities and Carlo Cracco's culinary project contribute to an environment that feels composed, discreet and surprisingly residential for such a central location.

A new chapter for a travel icon

Rooted in a past of legendary journeys, Orient Express is extending its world beyond the rails through a growing collection of hotels. Whether in Venice, Rome or upcoming destinations, each address interprets local heritage through craftsmanship, cultural references and layered interiors, recasting travel as a more tactile, atmospheric form of hospitality.

Refurbishment and rebranding

Collina d’Oro Resort & SPA, Lugano (Switzerland) | 5-star hotel | December 2025
44 rooms
The transition into Starhotels Collezione marks a new phase for Collina d'Oro without altering its close connection to the surrounding landscape. Scattered across a vast park above Lake Lugano, the resort favours open views, unhurried routines and a quieter interpretation of luxury, grounded in wellbeing and simplicity.

Tivoli President Milano, Milan (Lombardy) | 5-star hotel | November 2025
239 rooms
Following its rebranding under Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, the property presents itself with a noticeably different identity. The renovation, completed while the hotel remained operational, introduces a more relaxed atmosphere. Its urban character reflects a Milan shaped as much by neighbourhood life and galleries as by its better-known monuments.

Palazzo Giovanelli, Venice (Veneto) | 4-star hotel | 2026
41 rooms
A recent refurbishment has given Palazzo Giovanelli a more current reading of its historic character. Overlooking the Grand Canal, the property rebalances heritage and comfort through a thoughtful use of colour, light and local craftsmanship. The result is a poised, deeply Venetian address, where restored details and modern sensibilities hold together with quiet precision.

Hotel Hubertus, Olang (South Tyrol) | 5-star hotel | 2026
68 rooms
Continuing its evolution, Hubertus expands its vision of alpine wellbeing through newly unveiled spaces designed by NOA. The latest additions work with altitude, reflection and thermal contrasts, turning architecture into a sensory threshold between body and landscape. Rather than decorating the mountain setting, the project sharpens its perception, giving wellness a more elemental, almost weightless quality.

Europa Palace, Sanremo (Liguria) | 5-star hotel | April 2026
70 rooms
Membership in Small Luxury Hotels of the World and inclusion in the Michelin Guide Hotels accompany a recent transformation at Europa Palace. Original architectural features remain central, yet are paired with a softer and more understated aesthetic. Facing the Ligurian coast, the hotel now speaks to an audience drawn equally to seaside traditions and international influences.

Porta Rossa Hotel Firenze, Colbert Collection (Tuscany) | 5-star hotel | May 2026
69 rooms
Recently reopened as the first property within the Colbert Collection, Porta Rossa Hotel Firenze enters a new chapter. Thought to be Italy’s oldest hotel, it carries centuries of Florentine heritage through frescoes, stained glass, marble floors and walnut panelling. The project lets the building’s long memory surface with restraint, balancing period character and modern comfort.

Sina Brufani, Perugia (Umbria) | 5-star hotel | April 2026
94 rooms
Sina Brufani stands within a nineteenth-century palace at the edge of Perugia’s centre, with views opening onto the Umbrian landscape. Rich surfaces and period furnishings frame one of its most unusual features: an indoor pool built above Etruscan remains. Here, different historical layers coexist without competing for attention.
